We begin with a few warm-up writing exercises to get you started. The rest of the day you spend writing in a supportive environment. A facilitator will be present throughout to assist you with your writing. We\u2019ll provide WiFi, extension cords and additional multi-plugs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"1589899085784-916d4c44-0f3d\"><button aria-controls=\"content-1589899085784-916d4c44-0f3d\" class=\"w-tabs-section-header\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-header-h\"><p class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">Who can attend?<\/p><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/div><\/button><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-1589899085784-916d4c44-0f3d\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\" ><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Anyone can attend, but the writing marathons are specifically aimed at postgraduate students and researchers busy writing a proposal or protocol, thesis or dissertation, or academic article. We are happy to accommodate all levels of language and writing proficiency.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"1589899126263-7f201fa4-6a47\"><button aria-controls=\"content-1589899126263-7f201fa4-6a47\" class=\"w-tabs-section-header\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-header-h\"><p class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">How do I enrol?<\/p><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/div><\/button><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-1589899126263-7f201fa4-6a47\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\" ><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>A maximum of 20 participants can be accommodated in the marathon. To enrol for the marathon, please click on the \u2018Enrol now\u2019 button below or at the top, and complete and submit the online enrolment form. The Writing Lab reserves the right to cancel the marathon should there be an insufficient number of enrolments.<\/p>\n<p>A week before the marathon starts, you will receive an email from\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:selene@sun.ac.za\"><strong>Selene Delport<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with the payment details and logistical information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong>\u00a0that the full fee will be levied if you cancel your enrolment after the closing date, or if you fail to attend.
